Ice Cream Pudding Pie

Milk, vanilla ice cream and instant pudding are combined to create pie filling. Graham cracker crumb pie crust is filled and chilled several hours or overnight before serving.

Ingredients -
2 cups cold Milk
1-1/2 cups Vanilla Ice Cream, softened
2 (4-serving size each) packages Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 (6 ounces) Graham Cracker Crumb Pie Crust
 
Preparation:

1. Add milk, softened ice cream and dry pudding mixes to large bowl.

2. Beat with electric mixer on low for 2 minutes.

3. Let stand 5 minutes or until mixture is very thick and will mound.

4. Spoon the ice cream mixture into graham cracker crumb pie crust.

5. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight until set.

 



Ice Cream Making Tip -
Alcohol

As alcohol does not freeze, when you add a little alcohol to ice cream the mixture will not freeze quite as hard.

Reducing Fat and Calories

Be careful when you reducing calories and fat in ice cream recipes by replacing cream or half-and-half with milk, the mixture may not freeze properly or be nearly as smooth as the fat in dairy does not freeze.
