Peanut Butter and Vanilla Ice Cream

Peanut butter ice cream recipe for ice cream maker. Ice cream prepared from half-and-half, non-fat dry milk, whole milk, white sugar, peanut butter and vanilla.

Ingredients -
4 cups Half-and-Half
3 cups Non-Fat Dry Milk
3 cups Whole Milk
1-1/2 cups White Sugar
1-1/2 cups Peanut Butter
4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
 
Preparation:

1. Pour the half-and-half, dry milk, and milk into a large saucepan over low heat.

2. Cook until heated, stirring to dissolve the dry milk.

3. Stir in the peanut butter and sugar until smooth and sugar has dissolved.

4. Remove from heat, and stir in the vanilla.

5. Cool the mixture, and refrigerate.

6. Blend the mixture in a blender before pouring into an ice cream maker.

7. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Half-and-Half

Half-and-half is a mixture of one part whole milk with one part cream. The butterfat content of half-and-half is approximately 12.5 percent. Half-and-half is readily available in most supermarkets in the dairy section with other milk products.
